Review: When I first started out on my own, I didn't know there was even such a thing as a credit score, let alone how it would affect me in the future. Today that's all you hear about. I needed to know exactly what this whole credit score thing involved and why it was so important not only to my finances but my entire life. I found this book and boy has it helped.
The straight talk about credit scores in this book is a great foundation to understanding what a credit score is and how it affects you. The first 2 chapters taught me so much. They gave me the knowledge I needed to understand why this is so important. If you don't know what it is and why we have it, you can't begin to fix the score.
The section on the myths of credit scores was also helpful to me. When I first started checking into this, I came across some things that scared me to death. I was just sure I would never be able to understand, let alone fix my credit score. With the information I read in this book, I came to understand that a lot of what I had read was just bull.
I also have learned that I can repair my credit even after identity theft. Yes, this did happen to me and not once but twice. Not only did they take my money and my personal information but they took away what I thought was any hope of ever having good credit. I was sure that this would haunt me forever but now I feel as if one more area has been eliminated in their quest to ruin my life.
Your credit score is something that you will carry with you your entire life. Being sure that it's up to snuff and taking care of the things that can cause it to go into the trash are important. This book will help you understand all the aspects involved, giving you a chance to remain financially secure and able to do the things that are necessary to succeed.
